2022 Kia Soul Overview

What's New For 2022?

Carrying over mostly unchanged from the past couple years, the 2022 Kia Soul only sees a few minor upgrades. The one-time top-trim-exclusive 10.25-inch touchscreen upgrade is now standard on every trim except the base LX. The manual transmission, rarely sought by shoppers here in Manassas, has been dropped while the base LX does offer a Technology Package that includes that larger touchscreen and extra safety features.

Performance and Technology

The new 2022 Kia Soul uses two engine options to get you, your passengers and plenty of cargo moving along around northern Virginia and anywhere else you're going. The base level engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder, rated at 147 horsepower with 132 pound-feet of torque and providing solid enough efficiency to make the 2022 Kia Soul useful enough for your daily commuting around northern Virginia. For more power, upgrade to the turbocharged 1.6-liter four in the top-end trim level, which bumps you up to 201 horsepower with 195 pound-feet of torque.

As expected, the 2022 Kia Soul is loaded with smart technology, keeping you connected and safe while you're on the go. A standard touchscreen with smartphone integration gets you going, while the base LX trim makes a smart Technology Package available. Upgrading to higher trims gives you a larger touchscreen and more features. That optional package and the other higher trims of the 2022 Kia Soul will add all kinds of high-end safety features, including blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, among others.
