2021 Kia K5 Overview

What's New For 2021?

After taking over from the previously available Optima, the new 2021 Kia K5 is a completely redesigned midsized sedan. Bolder styling, new engine and transmission options and plenty of new tech features mark the major changes for this next-generation sedan. An available AWD system is also a feature that wasn't offered on the previous version of Kia's flagship midsized sedan.

Performance and Technology

A couple turbocharged four-cylinder engines give you some nice levels of performance in the new 2021 Kia K5. You'll start off with a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder, which produces 180 horsepower and is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. A key figure for this starting engine is it earns up to 38 mpg on the highway, making the new 2021 Kia K5 a great choice for your daily commuting around the Manassas area. For more power, upgrade to the available turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder, which provides a thrilling 290-horsepower performance. Meanwhile, this is a midsized sedan that offers an available AWD system, which isn't always available for vehicles of this type.

Five trim levels are available for the 2021 Kia K5, with more and more features included the higher you climb up the ladder of premium editions. With that said, you still get a generous amount of standard features, including an 8-inch touchscreen, smartphone connectivity and plenty of driver aids like forward collision mitigation, lane keeping assist and a driver attention warning. Choosing a higher trim will add features like keyless entry, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and more. Head over to Brown's Manassas Kia and see if our all-new midsized sedan is the way to go.
